Each side of the Merino Double Face functional clothing has something to offer. Throw it on as you need it and head out for adventure.
It's brilliant and yet so simple. If you've got a thermo shirt with a fine polyester inside, it's the thin fibres that speed the wicking of sweat out into the quality New Zealand wool. The latter, thanks to its natural antibacterial properties, allows no odour. But you won't have any problems even when the going gets tough. Turn your shirt inside out and enjoy the soft caress of the long, soft wool fibres that will keep you warmer than the stones in a hot mountain hut. Suddenly you can feel the merino shirt with all its benefits on your skin.
As well as the functional T-shirt from this range, the underpants also provide you with perfect insulation even in extreme conditions. So your feet won't freeze even if you want to run out into the bitter cold. Merino Double Face functional underwear is simply made for perfect comfort. Especially in combination with the flat seams that make the thermal underwear stick to you like a second skin. On top of that, it's extremely flexible and retains its shape even after years of wear. Isn't that great?
Face the frost. In the Merino Double Face thermal underwear, you'll have no problem following that command. That's because clothing from this range can be worn on both sides, each with different properties. Hold the best cards when playing with nature. Reverse and face: fine polyester and quality wool. Double ace in your hand. It's time to bring your cards to the table.
Merino DF is a unique construction that ingeniously combines the best of the world of Merino and synthetics - high quality Merino wool and endless polyester fibre. The polyester fibre in the form of hypermicro accelerates the transport of sweat to the outer wool layer, which prevents the formation of odours and has a great thermoregulatory function. With this knit, even the winter chillers will love the cold. With the hooded version you don't need a hat or a neck warmer, you're ready to go.

Clothes made of sheep's wool only wash in hand in the moonlight. No, we're kidding. Those days are long gone. Sheep's wool is naturally antibacterial, so it can withstand repeated wear. And even sheep's wool socks! That's why merino clothing is a great partner for long treks.
But nothing should be overdone and you should care for the wool like you would your own coat, so follow our guidelines:
Avoid changing temperatures! Washing and soaking must be done in water at the same temperature to avoid shrinking the clothes. A smart washing machine will maintain the temperature for you when you select the wool programme. Don't exceed 30 °C (don't worry about lower temperatures), spin the drum at 800 rpm max to avoid breaking the fibres.
Fill the washing machine only ⅔ full and use a powder designed for wool, preferably Lanolin. Do not use fabric softener.
NEVER dry on the heater. Don't hang your clothes but spread them out on the drying rack. Dry the clothes lightly with a towel beforehand so they are not too heavy.
